Exhibition

02 – 31 July 2021

The glasshouse was transformed into a three-tiered paper exhibition of experimental cartographies - mapping places known, unknown, forgotten and fictional.

Greenhouse 1: Terrain

Showcasing four years of experimental drawing by landscape and architectural researchers Kirsty Badenoch and Sayan Skandarajah, mapping lost and invisible land- and city-scapes.

Greenhouse 11: Cosmocartos

A new and experimental collaborative map of the imagination slowly grew throughout the festival, built from the minds and hands of everyone who joins our  experiments in the Drawing Laboratory workshops, salons and studio days.

Greenhouse 111: Forum

A visual conversation on the peripheries of map-making, with works from leading voices in architecture, landscape, painting, sound, sculpture, technology and film. Exhibiting artists include: Francesca Benedetto, Nat Chard, Penelope Haralambidou, Charnjeev Kang, Eloise Maltby Maland, Aisling O’Carroll, Saskia Olde Wolbers, ScanLab Projects, Mira Sanders, Doug Specht, Llew Watkins and Izabela Wieczorek. Exhibitors discussed their perspectives in person on Saturday 10th July.

Bookable tours of the exhibtion with artists Kirsty Badenoch and Sayan Skandarajah, and exhibition designer Maria Piccinelli were available on 21 July and 25 July.
